So, I'm listening to my Estopa Pandora station
while working on some homework for my Structure of Spanish class. Some song comes on, and I catch the lyrics “like a cat without a landlord.”
What?
Then I remember that dueño also means any old kind of owner.
This is the result of those ridiculous videos they make you watch when you’re first learning Spanish.
(Or maybe a cat without a landlord is some kind metaphor…)
